Mid-April and we are growing - Snowmen!
This is why gardening in the high desert of the Rocky Mountains is so difficult. A very short growing season. At lower altitudes folks are already mowing their yards and planting their flowers. Although in our growing zone, at lower altitudes, the "safe" date to plant is after Mother's Day, up here - it is well into June.
So, it's the middle of April and this is what we woke up to the other morning:
